Tip on how to have an object point in the direction of another object that is moving in full 3D space but making sure that the object pointing towards the other stays flat on the ground.

What is the advantage of using Wire Parameters as in this video vs using a position constraint and turning off z inheritance as Louis showed in his other Position Contraints Video?

Hi Louis, thanks for this video - I just started rigging a wooden table mannequin which has a hinge joint in its shoulder and I wanted it to act like a ball joint and I adapted the method you showed in this video to get it to work. Thanks!
