Tutorial with the complete Workflow about modeling fibers, hair, fluff or fur with xGen in Autodesk Maya 2022 and you can to apply textures or various colors with VRay to the xGen and it works, I explain 2 methods to xGen for do it with Interactive and for the non-interactive one. You will learn to bake textures with VRay in Maya, we will transform the Ramp node to a texture or map to use it in xGEN. We will use the VRay Hair Material for the fibers and we will create a very complex Shader for the Fabric, where we will use VRay Displacement, VRay Layered, VRay Mtl, VRay User Color and many more nodes. You will learn to create maps for Ambient Occlusion and fake shadows in the fibers, make the gaps between the fibers transparent with Opacity, apply Transluncency with the new SSS - SubSurface Scattering and Thin Walled for flat models without volume and we will use the Sheen channels to make the fabrics shine and bump too. This and much more awaits you in the tutorial.
