Remove Viewport Background image

The viewport background image can't be remove from the scene without assigning a new image to the background. In this video, you'll see how to get rid of the missing error problem without having to add a new image in the background.

To remove Viewport background image in 3DS max 1. Select VIEWS from main menu 2. Select VIEWPORT BACKGROUND 3. Select DEVICES (Select Image Input Device) 4. Select OK 5. Select OK (Bitmap manager error) 6. Select OK (Viewport Background 7. Background clears 8. Now able to Insert new Background

you can just click on the "DEVICES" button next to the files... button, and in most cases you dont have a device an you get an error message and your background bitmap and the path is gone

Me, as common people usualy do, always push the "device" button to remove the image background so thank you very much for make me know the true, correct way to do. It I´ve been waiting to know how to do it since Max version 6
